Birthed from personal experiences and life endeavors of our founder, The Butterfly Effect, Inc. was established in 2019 as a mentoring and diversion program. As with all organizations we have seen our share of transition and change already having weathered a global pandemic and life’s surprises. After a brief and needed break, our mentoring team is back with a few new faces. Our team is a carefully selected group of individuals who are business owners, activists, and educators and most importantly they are active and positive role models in our communities.

The Butterfly Effect’s mission is to mentor young ladies ages 11-17 who are disengaged from education and/or lack a strong, positive familial unit. Our vision to equip them with the skills needed to improve their social competence and guide them to becoming positive, active role models pushes us to mentor at least five new young ladies per quarter and touch as many lives as we can. Providing a lasting impression that will inspire young ladies to make wise and informative decisions allows us to meet our long term goal to build their self-confidence and decision making skills to create a future generation of leaders.

By providing necessary tools and education, planning events and partnering with other organizations and small businesses we will keep our mentees engaged and motivated. In doing so it is our hope to positively impact our community by lowering the number of over 3,000 homeless and runaway youth in Georgia alone, 54.1% of which have been subjected to human trafficking.
